Brittany Nicole is on a quest to become one of the music industry’s newest professional artists with a style of music that bridges the 80’s & 90’s Funk & Soul groups like The SOS Band and Kool and the Gang, to today’s sounds from such artists as, Cardi B, Bruno Mars, and Jennifer Lopez, to name a few.
In her early 20’s, Brittany joined a few bands as lead singer. Local bands like Class Action, The Valley Cats, and the Classic All Stars, afforded Brittany a way to vibe with audiences and hone her stage skills and presence as a singer and performer.
Performing with these bands also allowed Brittany to play with some amazing musicians, and do big corporate show events for charity fundraisers, such as, Valley Children's Hospital, Marjorie Mason (against domestic violence), Bets for Pets (CCSPCA fundraiser), Safari Night (at the Fresno Zoo), 4th of July Naval Air Base Celebration (in Lemoore Ca), Sweethearts Ball (down syndrome association of Central Ca), Gropetti Automotive Private Halloween/Christmas event. She has also performed at weddings and at Casinos.
And her television appearances as a performer have included Great Day Fox 26, ABC Action News, and radio Interviews on KUHS Denver CO, Tejano Radio Network, The Duck- Manny In The Morning Show 93.9, KCAA radio with Angel baby ( in Riverside), Mega oldies 97.9 With Noddy Roddy (in Fresno CA), to name a few.
Now ready to launch her professional solo career with her management team, Executive Producer & CEO of Round 2 Entertainment Records, LLC in Riverside, California, Charlie Perez, and Manager, Monibee Henley, "Play The Fool (For Love") from Producer/Songwriter, Carlos Guillen, of La Cima Music out of Santa Barbara, CA. is a big factor in Brittany's quest to take her place as one of the music industry's bright new stars. She certainly is off to a good start.
When you hear Elvia Cadena sing, you are reminded of some of the great jazz voices of old such as Sarah Vaughn, or Billie Holiday. And in the modern era, many would compare Elvia’s voice to the late, Amy Winehouse, who happens to be one of Elvia’s musical influences.
Her love for music she attributes to her mother who sang to her as a child growing up, and Elvia felt as if that is what she was meant to do...sing.
She began singing in the children's choir at St Anthony church in San Bernardino, California. From there she graduated to the teen's choir where she discovered her voice and musical gift. After graduating high school, Elvia performed at various gigs in and around the Inland Empire of California, and recently joined the Midnite Cruzzers band in July.
Elvia is excited about signing with Round 2 Music and is currently in production on her first original single, ‘Forbidden Fruit’, co-written by her and multi-platinum songwriter, Melanie Andrews and producer, Jay Shanklin.
Elvia says of working with Melanie, “WOW! Shes awesome, I like how she hypes me up when we are in the studio and the tips she gives me in vocalizing and all that. I enjoy working with her."
Before working with Round 2 music, Elvia did a few features on one of her friends recordings, and so she was familiar with being in a studio. Now that she is with Round 2 Music, she has already recorded 2 tracks, including a holiday song for Christmas, “Santa Baby”, and will be back in the studio to record her second single soon.
As a songwriter. Elvia had never sat there to try to write her own music until a friend asked her to be featured in his music. “He would leave my space out for me to come up with my own lyrics and since then, I was like hey I can do this. So yes now I write my own stuff. My new single Forbidden Fruit was written by me.
When asked what genre of music she felt fit her best, Like R&B/Soul, R&B/Pop, or Neo-Soul, she would reply that she is all in one, “I have a little bit of everything in me. LOL! I cant sit there and say I'm just one genre cause I feel like I can add a bit of it all in one. IDK if that makes any sense.”
What’s in store for Elvia in the new year of 2020 musically? “Great music to come. I have a lot in my head that I want to put together song-wise. I would love to act as well. Growing up, I was in teen Improv classes and it was fun. I liked being in character.”
Amanda Rivera was born in Los Angeles, CA. and raised in Las Vegas, NV as the middle child with her two brothers. She was raised to be proud of her heritage that includes Mexican, Salvadoran and Guatemalan.
At just 3 years old, Amanda showed that she had the “chops” for singing as she would sing along to Disney’s ‘High School Musical’, as well as other musicals like ‘Grease’ and ‘Hairspray’.
Inspired by such singers as Selena, Linda Ronstadt, Barbara Streisand, Lola Beltran and Chelo, Amanda exhibits that “old soul” quality when she gets on stage to perform now at the ripe old age of 17.
She has proudly performed the National Anthem at various ballgames, and for many community functions as well as for Las Vegas Boxing matches, L.A. Galaxy II, and former Las Vegas 51s.
Amanda is also active with many community and charity functions, promoting cultural enrichment for Latino kids and teens by singing Mariachi and Ranchera music.
Amanda has performed at schools throughout Southern California and Las Vegas, including her school as part of the Mariachi ensemble.
With such an active schedule, Amanda cherishes getting her sleep on when she can, she says with a big smile. An aspiring songwriter, she wants to tell stories through her music that inspires and empowers girls and young women where she can be a positive role model throughout her career as a recording artist and entertainer.
Amanda has just signed her first professional recording deal with Round 2 Music label based in Riverside, California, and is excited to work with the label’s multi-platinum award winning songwriter, Melanie Andrews, who co-wrote Janet Jackson’s hit song, ‘Let’s Wait Awhile’, and has worked not only with Janet, but also with Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Earth, Wind & Fire, Vanessa Williams, and Jasmine Guy, to name a few.
Amanda keeps a quote near and dear to her about her bright future that comes from one of Hollywood’s most glamorous actresses, Audrey Hepburn, “Nothing is impossible. The word itself says, I’m possible.”
From what we have seen so far from this young singer with the “old soul”, we believe her and see quite the career ahead for her.
